FAQ: Who pays for my trip costs and what will my accommodations and living conditions be like?
Typically, the volunteer pays for his own expenses. Although, some stipends are available by certain organizations for extended stays by physicians, depending on the organization. Travel cost for tax-exempt organizations may be tax deductible and should be discussed with your tax specialist. Living conditions are quite variable and should be discussed with the organization in regards to a specific project or locale.
